Terms of Service
The service
Paddle provides AI-assisted marking for teachers. AI marks are suggestions: the teacher reviews, edits, and publishes the final mark, and remains responsible for grades given to students.
Acceptable use
Use Paddle only for legitimate educational marking. Don't attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or submit content that is unlawful or harmful.
Your content
Teachers and students retain ownership of the work they submit. You grant Paddle permission to process it solely to provide the marking service.
Payments & refunds
Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Monthly marks reset each billing period and don't roll over. Mark packs you buy separately never expire.
If you change your mind within 14 days of a payment and haven't used any of the marks it gave you, email hello@workpaddle.com and we'll refund it in full. Once you've started using them, payments aren't refundable, but any marks left from a mark pack stay in your account and never expire. Refunded marks are removed from your account. This doesn't affect any rights you have under consumer law.
Availability & liability
Paddle is provided "as is" during early access. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service and aren't liable for indirect losses. AI output can contain errors — always review before publishing.
Changes
We may update these terms as Paddle evolves; continued use means acceptance. Governed by Belgian law.
